Common errors
Most errors in this system are English word order asking for a visa. It does not get one.
Error 1the trailing frame
Wrong: *mia theo lila mia shonela.
English says "I read in order to learn" with the purpose last, and the reflex follows the translation. Canon rules the postposed frame ungrammatical for every relator, purpose included: lila mia shonela mia theo. The frame speaks first or not at all.
Error 2lao where thelao belongs
Wrong for the intended two thoughts: one long sentence forcing a paragraph of evidence into a lao frame.
When the reason deserves its own sentence, give it one, and open the conclusion with thelao: phialu sulae nai. thelao lopia wile. The relator and the marker split one job by scope, and stuffing a discourse-sized reason into a clause-sized frame serves neither.
Error 3purpose awarded to an accident
Wrong for the meaning: *lila ruela wirua nai pheralu to lepa. intended as "It rained, so the path is wet."
lila claims intention, and the rain intended nothing. The wet path takes lao with the rain as reason, or two sentences with thelao. Grammatical shape cannot repair a false claim about aim.
Error 4a clause handed to tei
Wrong: *mia tei lopia nulae thole. intended as "I practice until the child sleeps."
tei is a preposition over a noun phrase, and it takes no clause. Name the endpoint as a time, mia tei shero thole., or reframe the sequence with a relator: pheo lopia nulae mia thole. puts the falling asleep first and the practicing after it.
Error 5the swapped pair
Wrong for the meaning: phoe melu to kamo lo mia to haolu. intended as "After the friend arrived, we spoke."
That sentence is grammatical and means the opposite order: it makes the arrival the later event. pheo introduces the earlier event, phoe the later reference point. The frame names the event it holds, so ask which event sits inside it, not which English word came first.
Error 6the condition dressed as a frame
Wrong: *lu pheralu lepa lo mia mua womu meilo. as one sentence.
lu is Slot 0, not a relator, and its condition is a complete sentence: lu pheralu lepa. lo mia mua womu meilo. The six relators share one sentence with their main clause; the condition never does.
Error 7the freedom construction misread as purpose
Wrong parse: hearing thia lila wepu ralu nai. and waiting for a main clause.
None is coming. lila wepu names the respect in which the subject is free, and ralu nai completes the clause. The purpose frame and the freedom construction share one word; the arriving ralu nai tells you which house you are in.
